The advantages of modern anti ageing injections / fillers include that they are non-permanent, as opposed to the old silicone fillers and are longer lasting as opposed to the now outdated collagen fillers. They are non-animal, as opposed to the older collagen fillers which were derived from animal collagen, so an added advantage is that there is no need for allergy testing.

How does it work?

With repetitive movements of the facial muscles and with the inevitable force of gravity, wrinkles form the face loses volume and the skin sags, droops as the face ages, the skin begins to lose hyaluronic acid, collagen and it’s elasticity as well as subcutaneous fat, this is when our clients have started researching anti ageing injections. The main component of the dermal fillers we use is hyaluronic acid and so we are simply replacing the hyaluronic acid naturally lost by the body.

Fillers come in a gel form, and are injected using a needle and then gently massaged to ensure a smooth, instant result. The newly injected hyaluronic acid attracts water and integrates with the surrounding collagen restoring the youthful facial appearance.

A fabulous discovery in the latest medical research has also shown that by injecting hyaluronic acid fillers into the skin, the body produces large amounts of collagen as a reaction, this enhances the results even further, and making them last longer.

Do anti ageing injections it hurt?

Treatments are relatively short 15 – 20 minutes and people find on the most part that it stings a little but very bearable, however if a client is very sensitive topical numbing medication can be applied.

How long do the effects last?

The longevity of treatments can last for as long as 12 months but this does vary. As with any anti-aging treatment effects will be much more significant and last longer with repeated treatments.

It is not uncommon for some clients who have had regular dermal fillers for a few years may then not come in for a over 2 years and then just for a small top up.

Does it look natural?

This depends totally on the clinician. Our Cosmetic Nurse aims to give our clients a soft, youthful look and remember it’s the most natural treatment, simply restoring back to the skin what was lost through the years. Our Cosmetic Nurse will ensure that the facial expressions stay the same, maybe lips will look more sensual, the natural facial volume restored and the skin looks youthful once again.

This is why after searching for a Cosmetic Nurse for sometime we finally asked Monica to join our team as she treats it as an art form, sculpting, shaping and striving for the most classical beauty.
