Sunspots obliterated with our PicoSure.

Sunspots or Solar lentigines are dark portions of the skin that develop after prolonged exposure to direct ultra violet or UV rays. People of all ages are susceptible to these sunspots, though those with lighter skin tend to develop them more frequently but these can all be treated with skin treatments at First Impressions Laser Clinic.

The main cause of sunspots is constant exposure to UV rays from the sun. Stretching out in the sun may feel good at the time but it can increase your risk of damaging your skin and developing skin cancer. Sunspots will cause dark or white spots to appear on the skin. These can be a variety of shapes and colors and develop anywhere on the skin, though they are most common on the hands and face.

At First Impressions the most prevalent area for sunspots on our clients is females just below where their sunglasses finish on their cheek bones and along the jaw line.  It is also more common that the sunspots or sun damage will be more significant on the right hand side as this is where we are subjected to sun while driving.

There are many skin treatments ‘suggested’ as to the best way to rid yourself of these sunspots or discolorations but the fastest and safest is with laser rejuvenation using PicoSure laser technology.  Depending on the extent of the damage and whether tackling just the sun spots or sun spots and wrinkles treatments can start at as little as $200 per treatment.
